 | The insured needs to inform the help line numbers while abroad as soon as possible. The company will not be liable to pay any claim that has not been informed by the insured while abroad on his return to India. |
 | In case of an emergency - accident or sudden illness – contact the help line number at the earliest you can. |
 | In case of a financial emergency, contact the help line number and give the details of your policy along with the police report containing the passport number and a written statement narrating the incident of loss. It should contain the causes, circumstances and the place of loss. |
 | In case of hijacking, the incident having occurred should be confirmed by proper police authorities. The police report should contain details such as passport number, period of hijack etc. |
 | Once the above is done, TPA would validate and authenticate the claim. |
 | All claims (except Financial Emergency) will be reimbursed by the TPA to the insured once he is back in India in Indian Rupees. He payment would be done at the exchange rate specified by Reserve Bank of India as applicable on the date the amount is billed. |
 | Claims under Financial Emergency Assistance shall be settled directly by the TPA to the insured whilst abroad. |
 | Insured with an immigrant visa, going abroad permanently and having declared an immigrant status will be reimbursed while they are abroad. |
 | In case of fire/ burlary to the home of the insured whilst in a trip abroad, the loss is to be intimated to TPA in India. The company shall appoint an independent surveyor to assess the loss. |
